Warangal Fort is spread over a radius of 19 km between Warangal and Hanamkonda. This fort was constructed in the 13th century. Located on a hill, in a circular shape, the Warangal Fort is adorned with beautiful arches, pillars, towers and four huge stone gateways. The fort is spread along Hanumakonda –Warangal route over an area of about 19 sq kms. The fort is protected by three consecutive walls built around it. The outer two compound walls standing at an altitude of 20 feet are built of mud while the inner-most wall is completely built of granite blocks.
